Hallandstrafiken is partly owned by the county council of Halland, and is partly owned by the municipalities of Halland, in relation to the number of inhabitants.

Therefore you, as an inhabitant of Halland, is indirectly one of the owners of Hallandstrafiken. The board is made up politically.

The management consists of the managers for function, administration, planning, IT, communication and managing director. Hallandstrafiken works according to the business model Balanced Scorecard.

Hallandstrafiken has a turn-over of approx 500 millions SEK a year. You only pay half the actual cost for your journey, and the rest is subsidized by the municipalities and county council in order to gain advantages to society e.g. a cleaner and better environment, safer traffic, increased accessibility and regional development.
