Tickets for the Öresundståg (trains across the sound between Denmark and Sweden) 

Age categories
Two children 0-6 years travel for free in the company of a paying adult. 7-19 years get 40 % discount on the adult fare (only valid for cash tickets), 20 years and above – adult fare.

Single ticket
The tickets are valid for the stated distances and journey within the city zone at start – and end station for the journey in respective organiser’s county. Exception: If you buy your ticket on board the bus for the whole journey (bus train), you pay for the distance to the train station. However, the ticket is valid for transfer journey at the end station for continued bus journey within the city zone.
If you buy your bus ticket at one of our sale places, the bus journey within the city zone at start- and end station for the journey is included. An extra fee of 100 SEK is payable if you choose to buy your ticket on board the train (only cash payment).

Discount card
If the single ticket or Duo/Family ticket is paid for with a Discount card, you will get 20 % discount on the regular fare. NB that this discount is valid only for tickets bought in direct connection with travelling. You can buy your ticket (in cash) to a Discount card fare (if you can show your Discount card) on board the train at no additional cost, if you travel from a station with no open sales place or ticket machine.

Duo/Family ticket
The ticket is valid for two to five persons, of which one or two needs to be adults, i e two adults and up to three children or one adult and four children. But of course, just two adults can travel with this ticket; you are considered to be an adult from the day you are 20 years old. The fare is 90 % of the price of two adult tickets. The ticket can be paid for by Discount card, which in turn gives a further 20 % discount on the price. Duo/Family ticket is bought in connection with travelling and cannot be pre-booked.

Ticket sales
You can book and buy your ticket at Hallandstrafiken’s sales places or at www.oresundstag.se. Tickets for Öresundståg that have been bought on-line can be picked up free of charge at any of Hallandstrafiken’s sales places. There is no phone booking of tickets. We will gradually expand the number of sales places. Please keep updated via our web site.

Assistance at station
- The assistance at stations is available to anyone who is in need of it
- The assistance is free of charge
- As a passenger travelling with Öresundståg – within Halland – you are entitled to assistance to/from the train and when changing trains
- We can assist to/from meeting places and buses coming in
- Required assistance is to be booked not later than 2 hours prior to the train’s departure or arrival
